A Remarkable Milestone for Family Councils in Long-Term Care Homes
Independent Long-Term Care Councils Association of BC (ILTCCABC) is a “Provincial Association of Family Councils” representing the important collective voice of residents, their families, and residents’ representatives.
Northern Association of Family Councils (NAFC) is a Regional Association of Family Councils formally established in 2021. We are a group of committed volunteers who believe that the ongoing involvement of residents’ family, friends, and community will result in enhanced care and improved quality of life for LTC Residents.
What We Do
We Network LTC Home Family Councils by providing an independent forum for long-term care (LTC) family councils to offer support to one another, discuss, plan and advocate for needed change to the LTC system. We are a Resource to educate about the role, purpose and benefits of resident and/or family councils in LTC homes.
